Captain Avgoustis
In 1968, our boat was built in Tarsana, Syros. It is a Trehandiri bow, stern of Varkalas, it has a sailboat and was bought by the grandfather, Captain Augusti Galanos.
From 1968 to 2003, he traveled, connecting Kimolos with Pollonia of Milos every day, transporting passengers from the large passenger ships, patients, animals, medicines, goods and fuel, from all the Cyclades.
In the ‘90s, he started touring tourists in Kimolos and Polyaigos, mainly during the summer months.
In 2003, Captain Augustis’ grandfather, at the age of 75, ceased his professional activity. The boat has been decommissioned in the port of Agios Minas, in Kimolos, for 17 years.
In 2019, the new generation begins its complete reconstruction, in Kimolos at a rate of 90% with:
- Samioti Karavomarango, Michalis Kozoni
- Shipbuilder, Athanasios Soldatos
- Electrical Engineer, Dimitrios Kolokotronis &
- Registrar, INSB Classs
transforming it into a modern sailing boat!
